Watrous Kinsmen Kids Fund
The Kinsmen Club of Watrous is proud to announce a new initiative being launched in the community this fall. The "Watrous Kinsmen Kids Fund” will provide grants to youth from families facing financial obstacles, enabling them to participate in recreational activities. We believe that no child should be left out of an activity due to financial barriers.
The program is aimed at a variety of recreational activities and organizations, not just sports or team activities. Interested families will be asked to fill out an application form requesting assistance for an activity, program, etc. All applications will be reviewed by the Kids Fund committee and information will remain confidential. If the application meets the criteria of the program the committee will make arrangements to supply funding. Some possible activities/programs one could apply for assistance for:
- School sport costs
- Field trips
- Instrument rental/purchase
- Music programs/lessons (voice, piano, etc.)
- Summer camps
- Non-School clubs (Minor Hockey, School of Dance, Minor Ball, etc.)
